About UsMileAway Farm is located in rural Searsmont, Maine - just 13 miles from Camden, Maine. We are located on the New England Rd - between Searsmont village and Rt 3. MileAway Farm started making Wreaths in November of 1981, as many cottage industries are begun, out of necessity. We had three children and Christmas was around the corner. Our youngest, Nicole, had just been born in August, Joey was going to be three in December, and Scott was going to be thirteen. We began by wholesaling to the local florists and selling to a few friends. As the years went by, we stopped wholesaling and are predominantly mail order. The children are grown now. Scott lives in Littleton, Colorado with his wife Dawn and their son Nicholas. Joey lives at home, works at a local grocery store and goes to school at the University of Maine. Nicole is attending the University of Maine at Farmington. MileAway Farm is a family owned and operated business focused on producing the best Christmas wreaths and products you will find.
